Job Summary

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager as appropriate within an FDA cGMP environment using accepted means and methods. Tasks may include: assembling, constructing, and maintaining areas for manufacturing, storage and offices; maintaining building (interior & exterior) and grounds work (all seasons); providing for facility cleanliness and supporting facility organization as needed. This hourly position reports to the Facilities Manager and is expected to work in a team environment with operations technicians, quality technicians, and other company employees. Daily and/or weekly schedule may fluctuate based on company needs.\

Responsibilities:

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for successfully executing specifically assigned and recurring tasks required to effectively maintain a clean, safe and healthy working environment. The assistant will fulfil deliverables in a manner consistent with standards in the pharmaceutical field.

Requirements:

  • Adhering to company SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting knowledge
  • Use of hand tools, hand power tools & power equipment
  • Provide own hand tools and cordless drill/driver
  • Read and understand schematics, blueprints and sketches
  • Use of Microsoft Office suite software
  • Appropriate written and verbal skills with report writing/editing/uploading abilities
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision while multi-tasking
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

This position involves both indoor and outdoor tasks, some requiring use of power tools and/or use of a ladder, including roof access and maintenance. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of the day.
