Job Summary

The Database Technician is responsible A data technician is responsible for handling the company’s data management systems and ensuring the safety, accuracy and security of the stored information. Data technicians write data reports, retrieve necessary information, and dispose of outdated data properly according to the company’s standard operating proceedures. They also create incident reports and identify data storage solutions to prevent unauthorized access and malicious leak of confidential information. A data technician must have excellent organizational and technical skills, especially in strategizing techniques, to enhance the stability and optimization of data servers.

Responsibilities

  • Document all aspects of hardware and software related to assigned application duties
  • Support implementation and maintenance of USSF quality assurance and statistical process control systems in accordance with cGMP manufacturing standard operating procedures, including configuration, bench testing, integrated script testing, report development, and report validation
  • Perform Maintenace work as well as and troubleshooting, on-premises hardware and intranet connectivity, and isolating and resolving database functional problems
  • Provide user assistance and appropriate user documentation
  • Enter QC data as required from QC Team and assist QA in data analysis
  • Ensure integrity of system database files, access privileges to CFR21Part 11 standards
  • Setup entries for calibrations of equipment used for measuring and maintain database of all measuring devices
  • Complete all other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.

Experience

  • A Bachelor of Science in pharmaceutics, chemistry, immunology, biochemistry, information technology or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with databases setup required. Experience with Microsoft SQL server preferred.
  • 0 – 2 years of experience in a industrial environment with a 4-year degree. 2-4 years of experience with a high school diploma.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • This position requires operators to be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.
  • This position does not require the use and handling of chemicals or other biologically active species.

Customer Service / Administrative Associate

US Specialty Formulations, a rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturer centrally located in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, has an opportunity for a Customer Service / Administrative Associate. This person is responsible taking customers’ orders and answering questions regarding company products and services. Communication will take place over the phone or via email. Additionally, this role includes helping other departments with ordering, document control, and light office management duties. The candidate must be detail oriented and effective in verbal and written communication. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and emails
  • Place orders and invoice customers
  • Take credit card payments
  • Address customer concerns and escalate if necessary
  • Collections of past due bills
  • Monitor the front door as part of a team
  • Schedule meetings, lunches, etc. for executive staff
  • Organize and maintain office supplies
  • Perform clerical tasks as assigned by the Controller and Quality Director
  • Pack orders on occasion
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and thorough at maintaining schedules
  • Capable of prioritizing multiple responsibilities and projects
  • Proficient writing abilities
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to learn new software programs
Background and Experience:
  • Associate’s degree
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a position with similar skills and duties
